Lessons

Lessons are currently offered either in-person, or online through Zoom. You may choose online or in-person at the time of booking.

Regular practice is expected. It's better to practice 10 minutes a day than an hour 1 day of the week.
For online lessons, you'll need a computer (preferred), tablet, or a smart phone with a camera and microphone, and internet access. For an even better experience, consider purchasing an external USB microphone, wired headphones, and an ethernet cable. We'll optimize mic placement and general setup during your first lesson.
To ensure availability, students are encouraged to book at least one month in advance.
A typical hour lessons includes a check in, brief warmup, and feedback/coaching on assigned music and ensemble music. We frequently also spend time recording and listening back to the student's playing, listening to existing recordings, and learning theory and ear training.
Each student receives a private online folder containing their lesson notes. If a student is not able to access their folder, it is their responsibility to take their own notes.

Cancellations

Cancellation Policy: Lessons must be canceled at least 24 hours in advance of the scheduled lesson time.
If a lesson is cancelled LESS than 24 hours before the scheduled time, prior payment will be forfeited. No makeup lesson will be scheduled.
Inclement weather policy: lessons will take place at the scheduled time over Zoom. No cancellations will be allowed except in the case of power outage.
By scheduling a lesson you are agreeing to abide by the cancellation policy.

Lessons are offered in North Seattle, and online. For online lessons, select the lesson length and date you prefer, then select Zoom
