About David:

A native of Kingsport, Tennessee, David Renfro received his Bachelor of Music and Master of Music degrees in horn performance from Indiana University. His primary teachers have included Myron Bloom, Michael Hatfield, and Richard Seraphinoff. In recent years, David has performed with the Memphis Symphony Orchestra, the Owensboro Symphony Orchestra, Greenville Symphony Orchestra, the Evansville Philharmonic Orchestra and the Columbus Indiana Philharmonic . Currently, David resides in Little Rock, Arkansas, where he is the Principal Horn for the Arkansas Symphony Orchestra (ASO) and where he maintains an active teaching studio. In 2006, he joined the adjunct faculty at Ouachita Baptist University and Henderson State University both in Arkadelphia, Arkansas. In addition to his duties with the orchestra, David performs with Etesian Winds, a woodwind quintet comprised of members of the ASO. During the summer, David serves as Co-Principal Horn with the Missouri Symphony Orchestra in Columbia, Missouri.

David performs on a Meister Hans Hoyer Heritage 7801 double horn that was co-developed by Myron Bloom and Vincent DeRosa.
